The Customer wanted an open plan kitchen dining area as she felt the current dining room wasn’t fit for purpose and was a wasted room as she has a young family. To achieve this a load bearing wall needed to be removed but the customer didn't want a step in the ceiling, so we fixed a steel within the chamber and hung joists with hangers from the steel to achieve a flush finish. The customer was really pleased as she had previously been advised that this wasn’t possible.
